The dairy processing sector is one of the sectors with greatest potential and options for transitioning to renewable heat options, with a range of technologies available. In this webinar we listened about those technology options and what steps dairy processors should take as they begin the transition to renewable heat. We also heard the results of renewable heat feasibility studies completed for the Australian Dairy Products Federation and for Burra Foods.
Presenters for this webinar:
Kyle Nicol
Sales Engineer & Project Manager
The dairy processing industry has proven pathways to transition from fossil fuels to renewable process heat. In this presentation, Kyle Nicol from Windsor Energy shares practical insights into biomass and electric boiler technologies, real-world dairy case studies and the key planning considerations for delivering successful renewable heat projects.
Janine Waller
Chief Executive Officer
AND
Bryce Smith
Australian Solutions Team Lead
Australia's dairy processing industry must reduce emissions while remaining competitive and reliable. This presentation outlines the findings of the Australian Dairy Processing Industry Decarbonisation Pathway Study, highlighting current energy use, practical renewable heat technologies, key adoption barriers and priority actions to accelerate the sector's transition to low-emissions process heat.
Craig Morgan
Group Sales Director
A strong business case is essential for successful renewable heat projects. In this presentation, Craig Morgan from Northmore Gordon explains how being data-ready, grant-ready and incentive-ready can help dairy processors avoid common pitfalls, secure funding and accelerate renewable heat project delivery.
Warren Landles
Sustainability Manager
AND
Huon Seymour
Senior Consultant
Electrifying dairy processing requires a structured approach beyond replacing gas-fired equipment. In this presentation, Warren Landles from Burra Foods and Huon Seymour from Northmore Gordon share the findings of a Phase 1 Energy Efficiency and Electrification Assessment, highlighting practical efficiency opportunities, renewable heat pathways and the key technical and financial considerations for developing a successful decarbonisation roadmap.
Laura Taylor
Communications Manager
Laura Taylor from the Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity (A2EP) introduced renewable heat opportunities for the dairy processing industry, outlining the resources available to help manufacturers transition to low-emissions process heat. She also highlighted A2EP's renewable heat tools, upcoming events and initiatives supporting industrial decarbonisation across Australia.
