ABOUT THE ALLIANCE
The Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity (A2EP) is an independent, not-for-profit coalition of research, business and government leaders working to double energy productivity in Australia. With an emphasis on collaboration, our aim is to further technologies and systems that don’t just use less energy but yield far more value from every unit of energy consumed.
We believe a focus on energy productivity from business and government will deliver jobs growth, economic benefits, greater energy independence and reliability and increased global competitiveness.
Established in 2010, our work ranges across research, demonstration, communication and advocacy. Our innovation program is already accelerating the uptake of existing and emerging technologies which have benefits for consumers, energy systems and the economy.

We are supported in our work by our principal research partner, the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology, Sydney a global network of partners with whom we collaborate and share insights.
Government agencies regularly engage A2EP on the subject of energy productivity and we have contributed to various policy initiatives, including the National Energy Productivity Plan.
