After five incredibly rewarding years as Chair of A2EP, I’m both sad and excited to announce that I will be stepping down from this role today, 1 September 2025. After a very competitive industry-wide recruitment process, we have found a new Independent Chair—Bianca Sylvester.
It has been an honour to serve this organisation and to work alongside such passionate, driven individuals committed to accelerating Australia’s energy productivity and decarbonisation journey.
I want to take a moment to sincerely thank my fellow Directors, both past and present, on the A2EP Board. Their unwavering commitment to our long-term vision has been instrumental—not only in growing the organisation and expanding its impact, but also in strengthening our governance and ensuring A2EP is well-positioned for the future. Their dedication has helped transform A2EP from a small but mighty team into a nationally recognised force for change.
Together, we’ve built something that matters. And now, I’m thrilled to pass the baton to Bianca Sylvester, who will carry that momentum forward.
Bianca will be a familiar face to many of you as she has previously served on the A2EP Board. She was previously Head of Carbon Solutions at Origin Energy and prior to that a Director at the Clean Energy Finance Corporation. She brings more than 15 years of experience in climate, energy, and finance. Her global network and deep expertise make her the perfect leader for A2EP’s next chapter.
With Bianca, A2EP is in safe hands—and I couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead.
