In the few days since the 2025 Australian Renewable Heat Conference wrapped up we have been overwhelmed by positive feedback from presenters, sponsors and attendees. Our carefully curated program of decarbonisation case studies from energy users, technology updates and business case enablers seems to have really hit the mark with an audience focussed on accelerating industrial decarbonisation action.
See below for our photo gallery of two days of the conference.
Thank you to everyone who took time out to attend the conference. We had a great crowd of around 300 across the two days at the stunning ILUMINA venue in Sydney’s CBD, with registrations up 50% from last year.
After a Welcome to Country from Aunty Joan Bell, it was great to kick off with some inspiring speeches and presentations from the Hon Matt Kean, Chair of the CCA, Jenny Merkley from NSW DCCEEW, Peter Haenke from ARENA, James Magill from Origin Zero and a video address from the Hon Lily D’Ambrosio, Victorian Minister for Energy.
We were grateful to have a number of speakers sharing updates and perspectives from overseas, including Veronika Wilk from the Austrian Institute of Technology, Paul Bull from EECA in New Zealand and Fabian Voswinkel from the IEA. And as expected, some of the most popular content was the renewable heat case studies from energy users, including AstraZeneca, Teys, Alsco Uniforms, Graincorp, Sugar Australia, Kilcoy Global Foods, Suntory Oceania, G & K O’Connor, CSR and Katunga Fresh.
Our expanded exhibition area was buzzing with conversations throughout the conference, with eight exhibitors in addition to our nine sponsors having exhibition spaces for displays and meetings.
Another highlight was the announcement of our 2025 Australian Renewable Heat Award Winners. You can view the winners and their projects here.
We are already planning our 2026 Australian Renewable Heat Conference! Please contact us by emailing a2ep@a2ep.org.au if you would like to join the conference mail list for information regarding sponsorship or attending in 2026.
Again, many thanks to our sponsors:
